Overview

Founded in 2011, WELM Ventures, LLC is a venture capital investment, advisory and strategy consulting firm.  The firm was founded by Roy M. Martin, Jr., a former senior executive in numerous technology industries and customer market segments, both in the US and globally.

Prior to founding WELM Ventures, he was CEO of several businesses or divisions of Thomson Reuters (NASDAQ: TRI) and a member of its Executive Committee. Today, TRI is an US $8 billion information, software and services business serving professional markets worldwide.

In his professional career, Mr. Martin has been CEO, president, managing director, COO, general manager or executive chairman of over 15 companies, and has held numerous other roles as chief revenue office, chief strategy offer, and head of strategic marketing. He has substantial experience in leading and growing revenues in numerous industries through:

  • The development of optimal Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies
  • Overall corporate strategy development and precise execution
  • All facets of mergers and acquisitions
  • Building company cultures which support innovation
